My first project with Screenmedia, this was an important client for the company. It was also a great opportunity to improve and update their existing website which didn’t reflect the high standard of courses on offer.
Working closely to designs provided by ISO Design, I developed the front-end templates using HTML and CSS. Once completed the templates were passed to Screenmedia’s senior developer to be implemented with Umbraco – their preferred CMS.
Accessibility was a high priority on this project. The site had to be built to a high standard to meet accessibility needs of visitors with disabilities such as visual impairment. As such, the code was put through several validation services to ensure standards were met.
Ongoing maintenance was provided and at a later point I revisited the project, updating the templates to use a responsive layout. This was to support an increasing number of visitors using smart phones and tablet devices.
